Training with Fylde Agility

We have three training venues, and we are able to offer both daytime and evening training sessions:

Monday & Wednesday (10am - 4pm)
Courtyard Cottage Stables, nr Lytham/Wrea Green (Indoor Floodlit Equestrian Arena):
One-to-One sessions are available 10am-midday, and group training between midday and 4pm. Our group sessions are suitable for all abilities, and the classes last for 1 hour with group sizes limited to 7 dogs

Tuesday (7pm - 10pm)
Near Pilling (Outdoor Floodlit Equestrian Arena):
Group training sessions are held on Wednesday evenings at our picturesque venue in the heart of the Fylde countryside. Conveniently located just 30 minutes drive from the centres of Blackpool, Preston and Lancaster, it's a perfect setting to unwind at the end of the day. Unfortunately we are unable to offer one-to-one training at this venue.

Thursday (6pm - 9pm)
Courtyard Cottage Stables, nr Lytham/Wrea Green (Indoor Floodlit Equestrian Arena):
Group training sessions are available 6pm - 9pm. Our group sessions are suitable for all abilities, and the classes last for 1 hour with group sizes limited to 7 dogs. Unfortunately we are unable to offer one-to-one training at this venue.

Our training venues offer a great mix of environments, with our daytime agility training venue offering a comfortable indoor arena, and our floodlit outdoor venue being finished with a top quality Andrews-Bowen equestrian surface. We also have an enclosed agility training field (weather permitting!) and an outdoor sand paddock.

Weekly Group Training:

We offer a variety of groups that cater for all levels of experience; we pride ourselves on the quality of our training and believe in achieving results through positive reward based training.

Our training sessions are held throughout the year. If you are interested in registering or would just like to find out more, please don't hesitate to Contact Us

Beginners group:
This group introduces both handler and dog to all the basic obstacles and offers an insight into the fun and partnership that can be achieved through agility. The aim of this course is to build knowledge and experience to a level where you feel ready to move into competition. This course is open to all dogs over twelve months old.

Novice Competition group:
This group is targetted at dogs that are currently competing. It aims to provide opportunities to improve confidence and experience, whilst developing ring skills and handling techniques. Dogs entered for this group should have a working knowledge of most agility obstacles, and be capable of training sequences.

Senior Competition group:
Catering for dogs and handlers who are actively competing and consolidating their ring experience, this group emphasises sequencing, positioning, timing and partnership co-ordination.

Please note that we train at equestrian venues, so steadiness with livestock (particularly horses) is essential. We love our venues, and would like to keep them, so if your dog has a dislike for horses then we may not be the right club for you. If you are unsure how your dog will react, please Contact Us and we will arrange a short assessment.
